Pet First Aid Seminars to Benefit the Ellisville Dog Park a Success!
A big thank you to everyone who attended our two Pet first Aid Seminars to help raise money for the new Ellisville Dog Park. Well over 100 people attended the two seminars. We raised close to $5,000 for the park with Manchester West Veterinary Hospital's matching contribution. A big thank you to Battalion Chief and Chief Medical Officer Bud Mantle from the Metro West Fire Protection District for co-sponsoring the seminars. And also a big thanks to the members of the Ellisville Dog Park Committee who volunteered their time and energy, and to Lisa  Blumer, Director of the Ellisville Parks and Recreation Department. Doctor Roberts and Cruiser A Hit With The Kids
Doctor David Roberts and his dog Cruiser recently visited a pre-kindergarten class at Rockwood Early Childhood - Clarkson Valley location.  Doctor Roberts and his trusty sidekick taught the kids general pet care including info about  food, water, exercise, safety, and of course regular veterinary medical care. Doctor Roberts and the other Vets in our office would be happy to speak to your children's class. Just have your teacher call the office to schedule a visit

Congratulations to Dr. David Roberts
Dr. David Roberts once again has achieved Diplomate status to the American Board of Veterinary Practitioners. This Board Certification in Canine and Feline Practice demonstrates expertise and a mastery of up-to-date clinical medicine and surgery. Becoming board certified in Canine and Feline Practice requires a rigorous credentialing and examination process. As a result, there are only 400 veterinarians who have this particular board certification. This is the third time that Dr. Roberts has successfully renewed his status. We are proud to have his expertise serving the pets in our area!

The 2011 Yappy Howliday Party A Success!
Manchester West Veterinary Hospital sponsored a party to help raise money and goods for the Open Door Sanctuary and to thank our friends and clients for being such great members of our community. Your donations totaled 161 pounds of food for Open Door. We also raised $162 for the Ellisville Dog Park at Bluebird Park. A big thank you to all of our friends who brought their dogs, cats, bunnies and kids to the party. Click here to see a slide show!
